Overview​

the Mary Prince legacy bus tour, which is a 2-hour bus tour that includes the following stops. The tour will highlight Mary Prince’s experiences and visits places where she was housed in Bermuda.

Highlights:

1. Visit "School Lands Cottage" – A place where Mary Prince was an enslaved captive of the Ingham’s.

2. Visit "Ocean View Golf Course" – Learn the story of Sue, which was Mary Prince’s mother.

​

3. Visit “Mary Prince Emancipation Park” – A park named in honor of Mary Prince.

​

4. Visit “Murrell’s Vale” – A place where Mary Prince was an enslaved captive of the Prudden’s.

​

5. Visit “Waterville” – Learn the story of Prince, which was Mary Prince’s father.

What To Expect

Departure point:

Departure from the Visitor Service Center in Hamilton, near Ferry Terminal and this will be the return location, based on the scheduled booked times, and this will be the return location.

Please ensure to arrive at least 10 minutes early for check in and to ensure an on-time departure. The tour is 2 hours & will depart promptly at the scheduled times.
